Clara Aguado (Madrid, 1984) is a spanish visual artist, who developed her art work and career in the fields of painting, illustration and art pedagogy. She started her academic studies in her hometown university (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 2002-2007), and then continued with her academic venture in Germany (Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, 2005-2006; Humboldt Universität Berlin, 2012-2013). For the past few years, she has been teaching at the Loheland Foundation in Künzell, Germany. The images she creates address three topics of particular fascination to her: nature, underwater worlds, and modern architecture of platonic and reduced forms. She approaches these topics both abstractly and figuratively, using symbols and colours to generate positive associations and tender childhood reminders.
